More barriers...but we won't be stopped!

Well all good plans can be changed.  Today was much drier but because of the rain yesterday, the main road to our projects was blocked by rocks.  So, plan B.  Instead of building more on the house, the construction team went to work on replacing a roof on another home.  They also built a ramp for a young man suffering with Cancer who was having a difficult time getting to his bathroom.  Both jobs made a huge impact in the lives of these families.  Our family team went to San Antonio where we installed more stoves and visited a preschool.  Unfortunately, the camera for the blog stayed at the preschool so again there are no pictures of the stoves or the construction team.  Enjoy the kid's pictures.  Also if you are from Faith Community you can see we passed out the gift bags in which our congregation put together.  They were a big hit.

Please continue to pray for us as the weather has been very difficult on us completing our jobs, but our attitudes remain hopeful and positive.

  1. You all are doing a wonderful service, and I think God is pleased to see his servants push past the barriers that try to thwart His work! Stay strong and stay safe!

  2. I love when God shows us where we need to be at any particular moment! Praise God for the rocks in the roads and the lives changed as a result! Before you all even knew you were going on this trip, God had planned your rain storms. His will is at work and it's such a Blessing to be able to be His warriors. I am excited for all of you and you are in my prayers!

PS Please tell Richard and Christi that they are paying for the whole roof and we got the house. Paperwork is being signed now! And please wish Christi a belated Happy Birthday!

  3. I think Plan B should be relabeled to... Plan God. He will always make something beautiful out of a situation that may not be ideal in our eyes. In God's eyes, every situation is ideal for teaching us something or blessing us with opportunities. I am enjoying following your trip. Keep the notes coming.
